Hi there,
I’m Christina, a 34-year-old German creative living between Germany and Portugal.
By profession, I work in strategy, consulting and coaching within the pharmaceutical industry — a world shaped by structure, precision and fast decisions. I’ve always loved working with people and ideas, guiding teams through change.
But long before my corporate career, I dreamed of becoming an artist.
I painted as a child, worked with wood, built things with my hands. Creativity was always there — quietly waiting.
In 2016, I lived in Porto and lost my heart to the city. To its light, its architecture, the endless Atlantic, and the raw, rural landscapes surrounding it. A year later, my Portuguese partner followed me to Germany for love. For almost eight years, we built our life there together.
Last year, it was time to shift the scene.
He returned to Portugal to follow his own dream, and I began commuting between both countries — for love, for the culture, for the wild nature that always felt like home.
Somewhere in the middle of this transition, I touched clay for the first time.
What began as a beginner’s course quickly became something much deeper. Pottery brought together everything I had always loved: designing with intention, shaping with patience, carving like woodwork, glazing like painting on canvas.
Clay became my way to slow down. To clear my head after intense work weeks. To create something tangible in a world that often feels abstract.
Today, I shape small-batch ceramics inspired by Portugal’s Atlantic coast — by wind and waves, mountain earth and southern sunsets, textured stone and warm terracotta walls.
Each piece is handcrafted between Germany and Porto. No two are the same. Each carries traces of movement, fire and intention.
Sol & Arte means Sun & Art.
It is my bridge between structure and sun. Between science and soul. Between two countries that both feel like home.
